whose The Talent?

The Talent consist of Alberta-Based musicians who bring their unique sound, influences and flavor to Yves's original songs through the creative process of collaboration. Their background ranges from professional classical musicians to well seasoned amateur performers of various genres.




Eileen Kosasih has a B.A. Music (violin) from Ambrose University, M.Music (orchestral conducting) from Azusa Pacific University, and a piano diploma from the American College of Musicians. Eileen is principle 2nd violin of Symphony of the Kootenays and concertmaster of Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra. Eileen directed the orchestra for Front Row Centre Theatre's "Mystery of Edwin Drood" and Calgary Arts Orchestra, her own two-year project. She recently became resident accompanist for Calgary Multicultural Choir and also plays piano for Suzuki Talent Education Society and Calgary Girls Choir. 




A multi-talented guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter David Hails from Camrose, Alberta and grew up in Japan. Wiebe’s music journey include multiple session playing and engineering including Active Light’s Active Light EP, Jonathan Ferguson’s Sweeter After Difficulties, and Andrew Riches’ 12 String Monster. Wiebe started his own podcast in 2009, and has been creating a variety of resources for musicians ever since. One of his primary projects at this moment is The Music Entrepreneur website, which features blog posts, podcast episodes, eBooks, audio courses, and other resources.




Sean Croal is an upright and electric bass player born in St. Albert, Alberta. At a young age, he moved to to Doha, Qatar in the Middle East. studying under Qatar Philharmonic bass player, Matteo Gaspari. In Alberta, Sean continued on to study with legendary Alberta bass player Rubim De Toledo. Sean has recently returned to MacEwan University from Finland, where he was studying abroad at Metropolia University in Helsinki. Sean hopes to play his part in the growth and development of the Canadian music community.


Taylar Wildman


Taylar started singing at a young age and later took up the piano to further develop her artistic voice as a singer-songwriter. In September 2019, she released her first video for her song Carry Me. She has collaborated with local bands and enjoys playing informal solo performances throughout Calgary.  There is possibly an EP in the works for 2020 so stay tuned!


Nathan Frenette


Born in Montreal, Calgary has been home for most of Nathan’s life where he has established a natural fit with wing, R&B and soul genres. Nathan is recipient of Most Outstanding Jazz Musician at the AIBF in 2016 and continues to be involved with local projects. Nathan’s 8 years of dedication to his instrument can be heard through his laid back improvisational jazzy style and unique solos.


Ian Love


Ian has been banging on the drums since he was 10 years old, developing his dynamic style while living in various parts of the world including the US and the Philippines. In Calgary, Ian is established with local band S.K Wellington - a 3-time finalist with the CBC Searchlight. Ian can be found in the studio or at home perfecting his skills as one of Calgary's top beat-keeper.


Nikki Romeril 


Born and raised in Calgary, Nikki was 3 years old when she first picked up the violin. Although strong celtic influences can be heard in her music, Nikki is no stranger to genres of Alternative and Rock. As a multi-instrumentalist (Violin,Piano, Cello and ukulele), Royal Conservatory of Music student and winner of various competitions, she is in a class of her own and part of the Talent's original line-up since 2016.
